Finding things on the beach, it's not always a bad thing I guess, especially as an artist. The artefacts washed up signifying human activity/waste/environmental neglect etc can subsequently be transformed and re-purposed into something new.
Gathering "stuff" serves a few functions: less crap on the beach/in the sea, more crap in my shed, more material to inspire creation.
Here is my latest pondering on a piece of washed up fibreglass that once adorned the hull of a boat.
